1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name and email address. Your password is stored using strong one-way hashing and is never readable by us.

YouTube Video Data

When you submit a YouTube URL for analysis, we retrieve publicly available metadata from the YouTube Data API, including:

• Video title, description, tags
• Thumbnail image URL
• Published date and channel information
• Video transcript (where publicly available via YouTube's transcript service)

We do not access your YouTube account, channel, or any private data. All video data processed must be publicly accessible.

Usage & Transaction Data

We collect records of analyses you run, credits purchased and consumed, and payment transaction references from Razorpay. We do not store your card details — all payment processing is handled by Razorpay.

Technical Data

Standard server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and pages visited. These are used solely for security monitoring and are not sold or shared.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide, operate, and improve the EF5.in analysis service
• To manage your account, credits, and billing
• To send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, service notices)
• To detect fraud and maintain platform security
• To analyse aggregate usage patterns (anonymised) to improve our AI models

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. AI Processing

Video content (titles, descriptions, transcripts) you submit is sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) for analysis. This data is transmitted securely and used solely to generate your analysis report. We do not use submitted video content to train AI models. Please refer to OpenAI's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle API data.

4. YouTube API

EF5.in uses the YouTube Data API v3. By using our service, your use of YouTube data is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Analysis reports and associated video data are retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at hello@ef5.in. We will complete deletion within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sensitive credentials (API keys, payment secrets) are stored encrypted. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

8. Your Rights

9. Children's Privacy

EF5.in is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.
